Murder Most Foul
On Thursday evening, March 26, at midnight Eastern Time, Bob Dylan released a stunning 17-minute masterpiece dissecting the November 22, 1963 assassination of JFK, entitled “Murder Most Foul.” The lyrics cover material happenings of the 1960s and include these prescient words: “They killed him once and they killed him twice / Killed him like a human sacrifice / The day that they killed him someone said to me, / ‘Son, The Age of the Antichrist has just only begun.’” On April 8, “Murder Most Foul” topped Billboard’s Rock Digital Song Sales chart, giving Dylan his first No. 1 under his own name in Billboard history.
